Studio Artempo

Studio Artempo

44 East Main Street, Suite 315-16, Champaign, Illinois 61820

Studio Artempo is a design studio principled by Bridget Benge, Associate AIA, and Jeffery Poss, FAIA.  The studio ethos is based on the  belief that design exists at the intersection of life and art. Our architecture & interior design practice is guided by principles of simplicity, stillness, restraint, and timelessness. Our work is shaped through the harmony of proportion, light, materials, form, and purpose.

At the heart of our philosophy is Artempo—"the art of time." We honor the power of time to imprint stories and layers of meaning onto spaces. This reverence for time extends to our approach to sustainability, which is rooted in our belief that longevity is the essence of sustainability.

Our work celebrates beauty while being guided by minimalist philosophies that uphold function as a fundamental principle, ensuring harmony between the meaningful qualities of living and the emotional experience of being.

Through this deliberate approach, we create serene spaces that distill complexity into clarity; environments where simplicity reveals depth, where restraint amplifies intention, and where the dialogue between life and art yields spaces of lasting presence and quiet resonance.
